Cpanel Port Tutorial
Firstly, check whether cPanel ports are open or not?
You may face some issues while working with non- standard HTTP ports. Inway Hosting Generally cPanel opened through following:
http://yourdomainname.com/cpanel
http://yourdomainname.com:2082
http://cpanel.servername.com

Please note that, third URL is a web based proxy which helps you in accessing your cPanel by default HTTP port 80. We have designed these additional services for our customers, whose ports 2082 and 2083 get blocked through Internet service providers.
You can execute the following commands; if your ports get blocked.
Whenever you are operating Window, follow these steps:
- Click on start
- Click on run
- Type command
- Insert telnet yourdomainname.com2083
- Insert telnet yourdomainname.com2082
And if you are operating LINUX, follow these steps:
- Firstly, start your Linux/Mac OS console terminal
- Insert telnet yourdomainname.com2083
- Insert telnet yourdomainname.com2082
Please note that the result should resemble like the given one, if the port is not blocked. Try IP_of_the_server (for e.g.10.10.10.10.)
Once connected to servername.com
Escape character is ‘^]’.
If the results are different, it means ports is blocked and use this web proxy link given above.
