Most of its functions are self explained, but there are also some important points you must remember:

  • Maximum length of username will be 8 characters, cPanel picks the first 8 characters from domain name and use it as username, it can be changed to some extent but the length of username cannot be changed.
  • Click on Select options manually, and set the custom resource function of the account like bandwidth, disk space quota etc… And save the settings as a separate cPanel Package.
  • Click on DNS Setting if you want to configure the account for using server name fixed at domain registrar instead of using local server name of the VPS.
  • Mail Routing settings helps you in managing the Mail accounts – Locally ( by using mail server on VPS) , as a back up( accepts mails and holds till minor mail server becomes active) and Remote exchanger( here the emails will not be accepted at local level and sent to the lowest MX record  accessible for domain). Mail server Detection is an automatic function, which will work only if MX records for the domain will get resolved correctly

Click on Create button located at the bottom of the screen, if you want to create new hosting account. If the details are correct, new account will be created successfully and you can see the summary of new account info:

Click on the option of List accounts located at the Account Information segment of left column, to check the available accounts on your VPS section. In this segment, you can identify and make a list of all parked domains, sub domains, suspended accounts and accounts over quota. This tool will help you in searching through your accounts and helps you in analysing the bandwidth and its usage of the accounts on the server.
